Morgan’s Wonderland an amusement park in San Antonio, Texas that is inclusive and accessible to people with disabilities. It was opened in 2010 and was encouraged by the Hartman’s family daughter, Morgan, who has disability. Around 2.7 million visitors have visited from all over US and many international countries.
The park is receiving a $6 million expansion by adding new rides such as 4 seat zip line which can accommodate individuals in wheelchairs as well as other needed equipment. Also, there will be a new passenger boat ride on the park’s lake, and a wheelchair-accessible ride with cars which flies in a circle allowing riders to use pedals or handles to go up and down.
Besides an amusement park, there is also Morgan’s Inspiration Island water park and Morgan’s Wonderland Camp in San Antonio. Additionally, a movie on how this park was developed is in the making to share the Hartman’s family story with the world.
